Chapter 7...

.....I'm just inches away from the doorknob....Just a little bit more.....I could reach it......Come on......

It was that dream again¡KI keep seeing the door.I just can't reach it.I woke up with a jolt and found my self lying on the cold wooden floor.For a minute there,I thought I was in my house,about to get ready for school,surf the net for awhile,but this horrible feeling came over me.Gabriel is dead...

And then,this undescribable pain struck my head.I was used to these migranes but this time,it's like 1000 times worst.I felt guilt rushing inside of me.Thirst of blood,I...want...to kill...

Then came knocking at my door.That urge within me disappeared right away.My head was still thumping with blood.I walked slowly to the door,opened it,and saw Haruko staring at me,looking worried."Are you ok?I heard you moaning and calling for help so i got here right away.Are you alright?"...asked Haruko.He looked really tired and worn-out,as if he hadn't slept all night."I'm fine..just having normal migranes.You seem really tired.Didn't you sleep last night?"He replied,"no...not really.I was up conjuring a protection spell around our tents.I'm not so good at it so i kept making mistakes.Finally,i'm done now.Take a look."I stepped out in the open and saw a revolving purple orb travelling round and round our area."Now,wherever we go,this glowing purple thingy will protect us.I can't really pronounce it.Gab-.."and he went silent and looked away.I said,"It's ok.I won't cry anymore.It won't bring him back."He turned and smiled kindly."I know.I just,miss him that's all.Um,you want breakfast?let's eat at my place.Go change your clothes or something while I cook.Come after ten minutes ok?"and with that,he left.

I decided to take a shower first before I go eat.I got some of my clothes,and they were all cleaned!My drawer was full of fresh clean clothes,and there was a note.I opened it and it said,"I decided to bewitch ur clothes for you.They're all clean now.Sorry i snuck the clothes in while you were sleeping.*smiley face*-Haruko."Hmm,sneaky guy.I thought,and smiled.I took a nice long refreshing shower and it made me feel much better,even with a stupid headache.I changed into my usual outfit,grabbed my sword,and left my room.There was a smell of burnt hot dogs and bacons.I walked towards haruko's tent house and knocked.I heard a faint "come in" and entered.Haruko's house was unusually neat.It's much bigger than mine,and there are more books and rooms.The books were stacked neatly on the shelf and there were two glasses of orange juice on the glass table,beside the two-seated sofa.I wento to the shelf and checked out some of the books."cooking for beginners...unusual diseases and how to cure them...Ten thousand tips for home improvement...Magic or mahem?..."I read the titles out loud,one by one.There were a lot of useful books here.Then,the door creeked and Haruko emerged from the kitchen,wearing a pink apron."Oh,how cute!A guy wearing pink!you look so dumb!!!"I shouted.He then said,"well,i want to get in touch with my feminine side.And this is not dumb!my mom left it for me.hmm,at least I cheered you up!haha.."His ears went red as he said that and gave me a plate of bacon,eggs,and ham."There,i don't have coffee,so orange juice will do.Let's eat!"We both sat on the two seated sofa and it felt soooo comfortable!it was even better than my bed!!We ate in silence for awhile and Haruko said,"I think I should tell you why you were asked to come with us."

Chapter 6...

Tystoka sighed a big sigh and said,"You did not do what you were supposed to do Gabriel.You should have told her about her position the first time you¡¦ve met her."......Tystoka and I glared at Gabriel with the most despicable sight,and he rolled his eye and said,"uhh¡K.Sorry¡K Well,you can¡¦t turn back time,can you¡KSo now,what we should do is have some tea,and talk things over,well,if you still want to come with us."Damn,I thought.I shouldn¡¦t have come with them.I feel so woozy right now that I felt that I was going to faint.I grabbed the closest chair beside me and sat down.I looked at Haruko and for the first time,he looked quite depressed.I smiled at him and say,"Chosen one or not,I still have to kill agolem,revenge for my parents and all¡K"He smiled back and Gabriel jumped."GREAT!Now let¡¦s go and¡K"The water on the table begun to shake.There was a terrible scream and the shaking was becoming worst.It felt like as if there was a stampede or something."Oh no!They¡¦re here.It is time."Yelled Tystoka.He stood up and dashed back into a room and came out a minute later with a wooden thing shaped like a ¡§Y¡¨.Tystoka muttered something under his breath and there was a blinding light!A second later,he was holding a sort of electric sword which was glowing brightly.He then walked out of the door and as the door opened,I saw a huge army of Skeletons,ready to attack the village.

Tystoka walked out and the ¡§leader¡¨ of the skeleton army,a skeleton who was wearing an armor said,"Tystoka!Surrender your village and yourself and we will leave,taking the girl along to our master.But if you don¡¦t,my army shall bury you and your puny village and will be forced to kill.The girl is what we really want.""You talk big Covign,but the day I surrender will be the day I die,so don¡¦t count on it!", yelled Tystoka."Well then,I shall say no more."Covign drew out his sword,and yelled,"CHARGE!!!".Gabriel saw this and told Haruko and I to stay in the cottage.He said,"If things get ugly,you know what to do.""Stay and fight till death?",Said Haruko."It is no time to joke.Run as fast and as far as you can.Don¡¦t let them take you.Haruko,"He added,"Protect Gail with your life.This battle won¡¦t take long,but if I get stabbed,then it is time for you to run."With that,he charged towards the army of skeletons,not knowing what tragedy would come next.

By the time Gabriel got out,Tystoka was fighting a group of mutant skeletons and he dropped in to help.Gabriel muttered some spell and there was blast which blew the skeletons to pieces.He kept on muttering the same words and there were numerous blasts.But it didn¡¦t seem to work,since the shattered skeletons had heals back at once.They were invincible.Tystoka decided to help Gabriel and they were both muttering the same words.Again,there were blasts.They had no chance of winning.Tystoka seemed to have noticed that and he turned back to me and Haruko and threw the Y shaped weapon to me.He yelled,"The incantation is moset go sendropath!Run!We¡¦re going to be fine,just RUN!"Haruko grabbed my hand and raced out the back door and we heard a horrible clenching.My throat has become dried and I have a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach.I turned back and look,and Gabriel was on the ground,with blood all over him,eyes closed."GABRIEL!"We both yelled,but the lifeless Gabriel just stayed there,no twinkling eyes,no smile,and no movement.Haruko was just staring at the body and I was snapped back to reality.I pulled Haruko and ran as fast as I could towards the clearing where our wagon stood.I climbed in with Haruko and drove the wagon away from the hut,away from the village,away from our dead friend.We were quite far now from the village,and we could still hear the sounds of people being killed,the sound that I have heard on the night of my parents¡¦ death.I had tears in my eyes and I saw Haruko beside me,crying silently.I had lost one more person who was my friend,one who I trusted.

We drove in silence.I was still crying and I couldn¡¦t help thinking how I could have helped,how this has happened because of me.I felt so guilty and depressed.What have I done?This was all my fault.... Haruko has stopped mourning and his eyes looked as empty as ever.Hours had passed,and we still drove on and now,it is night time.The moon was shining as brightly as ever.I had decided to stop and bunk by the road now.My eyes were still puffy from crying so much over Gabriel¡¦s death.My throat was dry,I couldn¡¦t speak,all I could do was sob and stare blankly into space.I went inside my tent to cry some more and decided to sleep on my warm bed and forget what have happened.I then heard a knock and heard Haruko¡¦s voice along,"Gail,it¡¦s not your fault.May I come in?""Yeah,sure."I sobbed.Haruko had appeared through the door and his eyes were different.They were empty before,but now they are twinkling.He was still depressed but had decided to talk.He came in and sat on my chair<The house has become a tent..>and said,"Gail,Gabriel has left me a duty and I shall accomplish it.He had died protecting us and I shall not waste his sacrifice.I will protect you and escort you to the dark lord¡¦s palace and we will both fight him.Let¡¦s just make Gabriel proud up there¡K"I had started to cry again when I heard Gabriel¡¦s name.I had become close to him too these past few days.We joked around a lot and talked about my parents.He was the only one who knew them and now,he¡¦s gone too."I know this is hard,but he knew that this was going to happen.He was prepared to die.I am prepared to die.We were supposed to protect you and that is what I will do from now on."He stopped and walked out.I am alone again.I lied on my bed and cried myself to sleep.

Chapter 5...

"Hey,please pass the drink will you?stop hogging the juice!!!"It's been 3 days ever since we left the place I call home.The road to Juray City has been so far,very empty.We are now in a sort of desert like place and we have come across some creatures which mysteriously look like a cross breed from a armadillo and a crab,and they are what Haruko call armadicrabs.<what the heck?>We bunk in our "tent luggages" at night beside the main road."Alright miss bossy."Replied Haruko in an fake irritable tone."Are you THAT thirsty??Don't drink too much or else we'll have to have toilet stops every five minutes."Remarked Haruko as I gulped down the rest of the drink Gabriel gave us.We were travelling on a sort of wagon drawn by a winged horse.Gabriel said that they are special creatures who need special care.They react to the way you treat them.If you are nice to them and stroke them every now and then,you'll arrive in your destination on time and unharmed.But if you insult them or actually hit them,you would be dead before you can say "ouch"...Today is a bright sunny day and not a cloud in the sky.It had been raining the past few days and my clothes couldn't dry properly and is beginning to stink.I figured when we come to a stop to get some rest for the night,I can finally dry them."I hope it doesn't rain tonight..."I said to Haruko.We have gotten acquainted quite well these past few days.He's actually quite a fun guy to be around with.He has a great sense of humour i could tell you that,even though half of his jokes are quite lame."Yeah,one more day travelling with your stinky clothes I would pass out in this small forsaken wagon.They stink to high heaven!Do you even wash them?""Of course!At least i'm not like SOMEONE,who doesn't even change his clothes...""Hey!These clothes are clean!I asked Gabriel to bewitch them so they keep clean.I take them off every night to allow it to resume its cleanness!!""I don't think there is such word..."I said dryly."Anyway,how long are we supposed to travel to reach Juray city?Gabe?any Idea?"Gabriel turned back and said,"Hmm,we'll arrive in 2 more days or so.There's a village nearby with some nice hot springs.You see there's a trail of smoke there?That's the village...Do you want to stop by for a day and have some fun there?Or just go to Juray city directly?""STOP BY!!!"I yelled together with Haruko.We've been bored to death for these past few days and craved entertainment badly.So,we entered the village,not aware of the dangers which lie ahead.

We entered the village and saw some of the villagers nearby.We wanted to ask them for directions to the hot springs.There was a man with a woman and a child.As we approached,the villagers saw us and turned away.They seemed to be in a hurry and they sort of ran into their houses."What?Do I have something in my face?",said Haruko."Haha..<in a sarcastic tone>Stop joking around!I wonder why they were scared of us...Any idea Gabriel?""Hmm...that's odd,the villagers know me.I've been here before and they were much much friendlier.I wonder what's wrong.I'll go check"He walked towards the village house and knocked on the door.The door creaked open and the man appeared through the door.They both talked for awhile,and we saw the man nod and Gabriel asked us to go into the house.I glanced at Haruko and he looked back at me,and apparently,he looks as confused as I am.We both then walked and entered the house...

The little grass house was a small but comfortable cottage.There were two rooms,all built of mud and grass and surprisingly,the atmosphere was very airy and cool.There was a table and afew chairs here and the man was asking us to sit."I am Tystoka,pleased to meet you.I beleive that you,madame,are the chosen one?""What?!I'm sorry,are you talking to me?chosen one?"I was in a state of confusion.Chosen one?"Yes.You are Gail right?""umm...yeah?wait...What are you talking about?"I asked again."You were the one chosen to free us from the chaos happening.You were the one who will defeat the dark lord,Agolem?""Huh??me?chosen one?"I turned to Gabriel and he was grinning slightly."Hot spring huh?Did you just trick me into coming here?"I turned to Tystoka and said,"I'm sure you have mistaken.There is no way that i am the chosen one."Tystoka replied,"Hmm...Do you have a mark on your arm,the mark of fire?""Nope!There is nothing on my arm."He turned back and headed towards his room and came out with a bottle of red liquid."Please hold out your arm." I rolled up my right sleeve till my biceps."Like this?""yes..."He then poured the liquid on my arm and for a moment,i felt like my arm has been dipped into icy cold water.I shivered as the liquid wrapped my arm in a small area and a symbol grew red at first,then orange.And then,I saw a shape.There was a fire marking on my right arm and I looked at Tystoka.He smiled and said,"Is this proof enough?"......

I stared at the marking and for a minute,thought that it was some kind of illusion.I then touch it and after sometime,accepted the fact that it was real.I felt dizzy and my world was spinning.How can I be the chosen one?This is impossible.This is just one of the stupid dreams I have.I will wake up any time now and be in my room,on my bed,with a bad headache.I pinched myself but,it hurt alot.This is not a dream.It is reality.Oh no......."How...WHat....Why....."I was muttering these words over and over again under my breath."I think I should tell you this."Gabriel suddenly stood up and walked towards me.He told me to take a seat."Remember when I told you to come with us I said that I needed your help?That you were the key to our problem?well,You were the chosen one.Agolem has marked you to be the leader of his followers when he had killed your parents.That is why he has spared your life.He wanted you to lead his army of the dead.You were to be his heir.But recently,he has discovered that you were the one who was powerful enough to defeat him and fix all this chaos which is happening.The end will come unless the chosen one,which is you,defeats Agolem.You are the key to our problem!..."There was complete silence,and then,I decided to break the silence and said,"What am I supposed to do?"

I'm confused right now...I've been asked to make a life changing decision...My heart tells me to venture ahead the strangers,but my head tells me to stay since i don't want to risk my neck for revenge.ugh,i'm just so confused.I decided to stroll outside and think about what gabriel had said.As usual,I brought my trusty sword.Outside my house,i saw two tents in which Gabriel and Haruko bunked in.I walked passed them and decided to go to the park for awhile.The park is a short walk away from here.

I strolled for awhile and reached a small pond with a few ducks in it.I sat on the bench and watched the ducks playing.I started wondering what would happen if I left this place.There would be no more school,my house would be abandoned,and that's about it I guess.I don't have much friends so no one would miss me.How sad i thought.And suddenly,I heard rustling in the bushes behind me.I took my sword out and it glistened in the moonlight.I walked cautiously towards the bush annnddd...

I found Haruko looking up to me.."Hi.."he blushed as he said that."Were you following me???"I asked in a dangerous tone."Uh...hmm..nice weather we're having,don't you think?"He tried to change the subject,obviously."Were you following me???"I asked again,in a more casual manner."okay,okay.I was following you.I just thought it would be safer for you."I knew it was for a good cause so I stepped back to the bench beside the pond and asked him to join me.He walked over,sat down and asked,"Sooooo,have you made up your mind yet?""No..I'm not really sure yet.Will I be killed if I go with you?""I can't answer that.Fate is not in my hands.But we,my master and I,guarantee your safety.""What are you selling insurance?"We both laughed at that.And there was silence for a while.And then,something came to my mind,"Haruko,how come you travel with Gabriel?"....."Hmm..good question.He saved me from Agolem while he was torchering my parents.And now,he's like my guardian or something."He's face went dark."Oh,i'm sorry.I shouldn't have asked.""oh it's ok.I don't mind.I'm proud of my parents.They died fighting."And silence fell again.I wondered how many parents Agolem had laid his hands on."You see that?"said Haruko pointing to the stars."That's my parent's star.The one shining brightly.It always makes me feel safe and protected.God has sent Gabriel to protect and train me.So I always feel blessed.""You have an optimistic mind.If only I'm like you.So why do you guys want me to join you??I'm weak and it would be a pain if I go with you.""Haha,no you won't.Gabriel has chosen you for certain reasons.If he thinks that you're up to it,then you're up to it.So are you in?""You know what,I think I will go with you two.I wana give agolem some of this tasty knuckle sandwich."We both laughed again and walked back to end the night and get some sleep.

I was awaken my usual dreams,the ones which I couldn't make out.I've started to see certain flashbacks,but not remembering what any of them are about.I cleaned up my house,which was in a total mess and ended up surfing the net as usual."Knock knock.Rise and shine sleeping beauty.We have a long day ahead.""Come in."I said softly.The door swung open and Gabriel stood holding bacon,ham,and eggs on a plate."Here you go!you need a healthy breakfast and we are starting our adventure today!Aha!you cleaned up your room!You have made my job easier.I can now packup ur house easily.Here,take this"He handed me my breakfast,"go out and eat with Haruko,I have to pack up this rustwagon.We are setting off towards Juray City today!"And he pushed me out the door and shut it with a bang.I walked towards the picnic table set up and saw Haruko eating the same thing which is on my plate.I sat down across Haruko and started on the piece of bacon.I thought of having a little bit of ketchup and poof!Ketchup suddenly popped out right infront of my eyes."Hmm,I think you got the hang of it."Laughed Haruko."YOu think it,you get it on this table.""Cool!"and we joked around for awhile and Gabriel suddenly appeared behind me,"I see you two have gotten acquainted to each other.Very good.Now then,breakfast is over,"he waved his hand and the table disappeared and two luggages appeared beside me."and these are your things madam.Now,we are complete.It is time to go.Come on you two!Lets go!"I stood up and turned around and saw a completely empty land where my house used to be."Wha-wha-wha-......""I packed it up!!Your house is in your luggage!COme on!Lets go!!"

And we set off into a completely new adventure with things unknown waiting for us.
